I can't remember when I was this excited ...and cautiously cynical at the same time. I am excited because tomorrow I start a 12-week Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses (GS10KSB) program.
The GS10KSB is designed by Babson College of Boston, goes beyond the basic concepts that many small business courses present and concentrates on a much deeper level of business strategy execution and growth. I can expect from the program tools and support to develop a customized growth plan that will take Kapital Data Corp sustainable growth model to the next level.
I am excited about the program for the following reasons:
1) 6000+ small business owners across the US have completed the program already and the program has a 98.5% alumni satisfaction. In aggregate, the 10KSB participants represent a large and growing economic force: $9 billion Total Revenues + 130,000 Total Employees.
2) With an esteemed council co-chairs of Llyod Blankfein, Chairman & CEO, Goldman Sachs; Michael Bloomberg, Founder & CEO , Bloomberg LP; Warren Buffett, Chairman & CEO, Berkshire Hathaway; and Michael Porter, Professor Harvard Business School - it's the closest to greatness I can hope for, at least for now.

3) The program stresses the importance of creating both economic and social value, and over the course of the program participants often talk about integrating their business model with social responsibility and “giving” back to the community.
I will keep you posted on what I learn over the next 12 weeks and beyond. Stay tuned.
